Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude Toubia is a Canadian actor best known for her work in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters as well as the Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea pa' que you are awestruck. Emeraude Toubia also is a talented dancer and model. Born in Montreal, she's lived in Texas since childhood, and always loved dancing. She's been training in various dance styles since her early years. At the age 15 she competed in beauty competitions. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia rose to fame when, in 2008 she was competing in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty pageant. She began acting in 2010 in a role as a receptionist in a Telemundo episode. In 2015, she appeared in the action drama Tattooed Love, her debut film. Toubia was recognized for her performance as Shadowhunters, Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
