Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes soul gospel jazz and R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European music festivals and clubs the singer has done work all over the world. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within Atlanta's R&B scene. Since then, it has been remixed and a part of her set. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. She was appointed as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's play Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her about being the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine became the focus of interest during four consecutive performances during the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during the inauguration of President Obama in 2009.
